On Friday 12 July, at the United Nations High Level Political Forum in New York, Sheva Carr, Robert Browning, Scilla Elworthy and Teohna Williams will present the following workshop:
Practical tools for Empowering People, Access to Justice and Peaceful Societies:
Innovative Approaches to the Inner and Outer Work of Peacebuilding: Building Architecture for SDG16, Personally, Locally, Globally
The purpose of the course is to foster a space for creating innovative partnerships for peace at local and global levels, through introducing cutting edge science and the most recent best practices from the field on what sustainable peace is, how it is achieved, and the structures and tools with which it can be reliably scaled and implemented internally, locally and globally. To give exemplars and tangible steps that can be added to Voluntary Action Plans by member states, NGOs, IGOs, and individual peacebuilders to overcome barriers to SDG outcomes worldwide. To offer support, partnership and networking to locally led peace initiatives as well as those within the UN Common System.
