Talking to Terrorists

In 2004 I had lunch with an old flame I hadn’t seen since college. He asked politely what I was doing these days. I said: “Well mostly I’m talking to terrorists” because I had been arranging meetings between the hard men and relatives of those they had killed. This provided main inspiration and material for Max Stafford Clark’s acclaimed production of Talking to Terrorists at the Royal Court Theatre, London.
